VALDINIEVOLE (Pescia e Collodi)

The VALDINIEVOLE (Pescia e Collodi) is located in the heart of northern Tuscany . The name of this area means "foggy valley", and the origins of the area date back to olden times: you can tell it from the small medieval villages and castles perched on the hillsides. The area includes also the Padule di Fucecchio: up to the last century it was rich in the vegetation, birds and fish that are typical of marshland environments.
