Description: This nice country house of about 291 sqm, built in the XIX century, was part of a major complex belonging to the noble Pappalardo Family. In the past it was the house of a farmers family, now it has been restored and has been converted into a very elegant country villa, set in great position surrounded by green hills but not far from a hamlet with shops and services. The land around the house is of around 5000 sqm and there is a pool and small annex, used as dependence, of about 30 sqm. On the ground floor the villa boasts entrance hall, sitting room with access to the rear garden, dining room, little sitting room, bathroom, kitchen, laundry room and cellar. On the first floor we find sitting room with fireplace, main bedroom with bathroom, 2 double bedrooms, study and bathroom. Nice views, great privacy.

Area: Crespina is located in the Tyrrhenian part of Tuscany, in a quiet area, spread over a succession of hills, not far from the sea and the tourist towns of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena. An oasis of calm surrounded by the green Tuscan countryside, consisting of woods and the beauty of nature, and dotted with old villas. Crespina is famous for the Monument to the Little Owl (Athene noctua) that is to be found in Borgo, in Piazza della Fiera delle Civette. It is in bronze and is by the sculptor Angelo Biancini. Its inauguration was held on 27 September 1970. It is also famous for its villas, summer dwellings for the rich landowners from Pisa and Leghorn, who in the course of past centuries had chosen Crespina for its beauty and climate. A place worth visiting is the Centre for Little Owl Breeding devoted to breeding of owls in captivity. This has allowed them to be brought back to compete in Piazza del Monumento, in occasion of the annual Little Owl Fair, on 29 September, for Saint Michael's Day, thus maintaining a centenary tradition that still attracts enthusiasts and tourists from all over Italy.
