In a survey from Baring Asset management, 7% of 3.2 million UK adults said they are relying on property as the main source of their retirement funds. In a report from CB Richard Ellis, it stated that property investment needs to become a bigger part of European pension firms strategies. It currently represents around 6,5% of a fund's portfolio, well short of the 10%-15% required. The company added that if property diversification increased an additional 5%-10% Euros 15-euros 45 billion would find its way into the overseas property market. (from Newspaper OPP/november 2007)
